Tribasic Lead Sulfate

Molecular formula (3PbO · b 4 · 2 )

Molecular weight 990.86

Property: It is white, sweet and toxic powder with the specific gravity of 7.10. It can dissolve in nitric acid, hot thick hydrochloric acid, ammonium acetate and sodium acetate, partly in acetic acid, but not in water. It will turns to yellow when loses the crystal water at 135, it turns to yellow under sunlight, especially in wet condition.

Application: Mainly used for the heat stabilizer of PVC opaque or semi opaque products.
